US-German Expert Meeting in Texas | Austin, Texas, February 27, 2018


On February 27, 2018, German and US energy experts discussed the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition in Texas and Germany at a bilateral expert meeting in Austin, Texas.

The exchange between electricity market experts and energy politicians from Texas and Germany was the focus of adelphi's one-day event in Austin. More than 40 experts from system and network operators, regulatory authorities, ministries, companies and associations took the opportunity to discuss common challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, as well as to exchange experiences and proven strategies for the design of electricity markets. Key topics included security of supply and grid stability as well as system integration of renewable energies and grid planning. The expert meeting consisted of a full-day workshop and a networking reception, taking place right before the subsequent ERCOT Market Summit 2018.

The event was organized by adelphi and the German-American Chambers of Commerce (GACC) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
